What does AI implementation cost a company? Real figures for 2026

“It depends” is a true answer, but a useless one. Here are indicative price ranges from the Czech market in 2026 — so you know what to budget for before you start talking to suppliers.

What really drives the price

Where you can save (and where you can't)

You save by getting the order right: a short audit → a pilot on the process with the fastest payback → only then scaling up. A pilot proves the benefit for a fraction of the cost of a large project. And team training can be funded by a grant — the implementation itself can't, but training is typically a third of the budget.

You won't save by skipping the audit or the training. The first leads to automating the wrong process, the second to a tool nobody uses. I've seen both — and both cost more than the whole pilot.

What the payback looks like

Calculate conservatively: saving 2 hours a week per person, with 10 people and a cost of CZK 400/h, comes to roughly CZK 35,000 a month. A pilot costing tens of thousands then pays for itself within a few months. If a supplier promises you a payback without knowing your processes, ask them these 7 questions.

Frequently asked questions

What does it cost to deploy AI in a small company?

A pilot — one process, one agent or automation — costs in the order of tens of thousands of CZK, plus monthly tool licences.

What drives up the cost of implementation the most?

Messy data, integration with legacy systems and a skipped audit.

Can implementation be funded by a grant?

Grants are aimed primarily at training. The smart combination: subsidised team training + your own investment in the implementation.
